Galleon Embedded Computing is a part of Spectra Group, and we are now looking for Galleon's next VP of Sales.
Reporting to the CEO of Galleon AS, with dotted-line responsibility to the Chief Commercial Officer of Spectra Aerospace & Defense, you will architect, develop and scale the Company’s commercial team while serving as a key advisor to the Spectra CEO, and Galleon management team.
Introduction to overall responsibilities and tasks
- Go To Market Strategy - Develop Spectra’s go-to-market strategy including market segmentation, ideal customer profile, buyer personas, sales processes, pricing and product development feedback loops.
- Salesforce Effectiveness - Design, implement and oversee best-in-class sales methodologies supported by robust processes and technologies.
- Pricing Strategy - Lead and support team members in deploying a company-wide pricing strategy. Reinforce utilization of CRM (and other systems) to monitor performance to plans.
- Marketing - Work with Spectra marketing to sponsor overall Galleon marketing strategy and support team in deployment of external communications, branding and identity. Participate in competitor analysis. Sponsor internal ESG initiatives that shape external/community image and ensure use with customer/RFP activities. Participate within industry groups/organizations.
- Sales Architect - Serve as consultant and coach to senior operational leaders and geographic sales personnel on selling and customer relationships. Champion CRM utilization.
- Account Management - Establish and maintain relationships with critical accounts/customers. Reinforce overall customer relationship management practices across entire organization.
- Strategic Plan - Support the CEO and CFO in creation of the overall strategy for sales at the Spectra level and for the Galleon business. This plan will include product technology roadmaps, competitor analysis, differentiators for the markets we operate in.
- Planning & Budgets - Establish and maintain sales plans and marketing P&L targets. Determine, communicate and manage applicable KPI’s. Develop plan to increase staff inline with business growth targets.
- Performance DNA & Leadership - Serving as a spirited and impassioned leader, the VP Sales will quickly and effectively begin the process of leading the commercial team to become further scalable
- Strategic Leadership - Be closely involved with the Spectra CEO, CCO and CFO in leading the commercial business while developing and fulfilling the commercial strategic plan.
- Product Development - Provide continuous input of the platform roadmap to ensure our global customers voice is represented. Working with the individual company/business leaders on a regular basis, to drive improvements of existing products and identifying key gaps in the portfolio.
- High performance team - Cultivating, managing, developing, and driving a high-performance team concept throughout the organization.
- Operations - Build a close partnership with the Galleon CEO and CFO to ensure the quality, delivery and cost of our platform solution serves our customers with excellence.
- Acquisition Integration - Play a key leadership role in commercially integrating accretive, add-on acquisitions. He/she will also lead commercial diligence with any new potential acquisitions.
Candidate profile
We are looking for someone with 10 years + commercial management experience with a minimum of 5 years industry experience from defence and / or aerospace. You will have experience from selling to military and large primes and good experience from leading teams and personally developing senior customers and partner relationships. The ideal candidate should have a solid track record of driving profitable top-line growth and must be battle tested with a history of delivering results in high-pressure, high-velocity situations.
