The Corporate Start-up: TOMRA Reuse
TOMRA Reuse is a startup within the TOMRA group, that addresses the growing global regulatory trends toward minimizing single-use plastic, especially in the takeaway food and drinks sectors.
We provide a complete system for reusable takeaway packaging for cities, where different packaging providers can utilize the same shared collection and logistics infrastructure, reducing waste and optimizing resource usage in urban areas. The model prioritizes consumer convenience and system scalability, allowing businesses and municipalities to adopt sustainable packaging solutions seamlessly.
TOMRA Reuse successfully launched the world’s first system of its kind for reusable takeaway packaging in Aarhus, Denmark in January 2024. TOMRA Reuse continues to expand and are now also focusing on event-based solutions (sports arenas, festivals, concerts, etc).

The Position: Project Manager
TOMRA Reuse is searching for a Project Manager to head development and implementation of new products and solutions for reusable packaging, to improve and expand our current offerings.
The team is organized as a corporate startup that aims to set new industry standards within the circular economy. The startup approach offers high level of freedom, minimum bureaucracy, and varied work. Belonging to a small team also means the start-up’s success heavily depends on your contributions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Analysis: Familiarize with market demands and opportunities.
- Solution Development: Identify, conceptualize, and specify technical solutions. Plan and manage product development processes.
- Implementation Management: Plan and manage implementation of solutions for a wide area of customers, ranging from sports arenas to cities. Organize tests and installations in cooperation with customers.
- Business Development: Contribute to establishing the novel solutions as a solid business area.
The workplace is Asker (Norway), but with this position comes some international travel.

Key Qualifications:
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in business or technical fields.
- Minimum of five years of experience as a project manager.
- Experience in managing multidisciplinary technical projects.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Effective planning and organizing skills.
- Proven ability to decide and initiate action.
- Innovative and ready to drive substantial change.
