Chief of Staff | Tenix | Oslo
Join us in shaping the future of sustainable transportation! At Tenix, we develop innovative technology that helps transport operators optimise fleets, energy use and electric vehicle charging.
Would you like to work closely with the CEO of a fast-growing technology company and play a key role in shaping its future? Do you enjoy turning complex challenges into practical solutions, taking ownership and making things happen across an entire organisation?
Now we are looking for a Chief of Staff to join Tenix in Oslo who will become a key member of our leadership team. This is not a traditional Chief of Staff role focused on administration and coordination. You will have the freedom and responsibility to take ownership, make decisions and turn ideas into action. You will play a central role in shaping Tenix during an exciting period of growth, with the opportunity to make a real and lasting impact.
Tenix is a Norwegian technology company developing advanced software solutions for fleet management, electric vehicle charging and energy optimisation. Our technology helps transport operators across Europe reduce costs, improve efficiency and accelerate the transition towards sustainable mobility. Backed by venture capital investors, we are entering an exciting growth phase, with ambitious plans for international expansion, product development and organisational growth. Today, we are a team of around 20 people, and we expect to grow significantly over the next few years.
More about the position
As Tenix enters its next stage of growth, we are looking for someone who can help us strengthen the organisation, drive strategic initiatives, build the structure needed to support our ambitions and work closely with the owners and investors.
As Chief of Staff, you will report directly to the CEO and become a full member of the leadership team. This is a broad and influential role combining strategy, organisational development and hands-on execution, working closely with leaders across the business.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Organisational development: Establish clearer roles, responsibilities and reporting structures, improve collaboration between functions and introduce scalable processes that support a growing international organisation.
HR and recruitment: Take ownership of recruitment and onboarding processes, including coordinating the planned recruitment waves, developing job descriptions and ensuring the organisation has the right people and capabilities as it grows.
Strategic projects: Lead cross-functional initiatives from planning through execution, translating management decisions into concrete action plans, milestones and deliverables, while following up on progress and results.
Business development and analysis: Work closely with the CFO, CCO and product teams to evaluate new market opportunities, assess potential product initiatives and develop business cases to support strategic decisions.
International expansion: Support the development and execution of European growth plans, including market prioritisation, commercial analysis and coordination of activities required to enter new markets.
Commercial and legal matters: Support contract negotiations with customers, partners and suppliers, review commercial agreements and coordinate legal matters with external advisers when required.
Board and investor relations: Act as secretary to the Board, coordinate board meetings, prepare agendas and decision materials, follow up on agreed actions and contribute to investor presentations and reporting.
Performance management: Develop and maintain management dashboards, KPIs and reporting routines to track business performance, strategic initiatives and organisational progress, ensuring the leadership team has the information needed to make informed decisions.
Operational improvements: Identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks across the organisation, improve internal workflows and establish practical tools and routines for better planning, reporting and decision-making.
Building new functions: Help establish new organisational capabilities as the business expands, potentially including Customer Success and Retention, defining responsibilities, processes and resource requirements.
CEO support and execution: Work closely with the CEO on business-critical priorities, take ownership of projects that fall between existing functions and ensure important initiatives move forward without unnecessary delays.
What we are looking for
We are looking for a commercially minded and highly capable professional who enjoys working at the intersection of strategy, people and business execution. You are someone who naturally takes responsibility, creates structure where needed and thrives in environments where priorities can change quickly.
You combine strong analytical capabilities with the energy and practical mindset needed to get things done.
We believe you will bring:
Around 5 to 10 years of relevant experience, ideally from management consulting, strategy consulting, business operations or similar roles.
Experience from a technology company, start-up or scale-up environment would be particularly valuable.
A strong academic background, preferably within business, economics, engineering or a related discipline.
Proven experience managing complex projects and driving initiatives across different business functions.
Strong business understanding and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex challenges into clear recommendations and practical actions.
Experience or exposure to organisational development, process improvement, strategic planning or business transformation.
The ability to work independently, make sound judgements and take ownership of challenges without detailed instructions.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work closely with senior leaders, board members and external partners.
Professional fluency in English. Norwegian is not required, and additional languages are an advantage.
Beyond your professional background, your personality and approach to work will be particularly important. We are looking for someone with high energy, curiosity and a genuine desire to make a difference. You enjoy variety, move comfortably between strategic discussions and practical tasks, and are not afraid to roll up your sleeves.
What we can offer
At Tenix, you will join an ambitious, venture-backed technology company at an exciting stage of its development. You will work directly with the CEO, become part of the leadership team and have significant influence over how we build and scale the organisation. We offer a dynamic environment with talented colleagues, short decision-making processes and the opportunity to take real ownership of your work. Most importantly, you will play a central role in developing a company whose technology contributes to smarter, more efficient and sustainable transportation.
