Supply Chain Manager / Operations Manager | Muybridge
At the heart of what we do is a simple idea: turning cameras into software by moving complexity from hardware into software.
Would you like to build the supply chain behind a technology that is fundamentally rethinking what a camera can be? Do you thrive where advanced technology, global suppliers and the challenge of moving from product development to commercial scale all come together?
Now we are hiring a Supply Chain Manager. In this role, you will take ownership of building and running the supply chain that enables Muybridge to move from advanced technology development into commercial production and international scale. You will work across suppliers, manufacturing partners, product teams and commercial operations, creating the structure needed to turn groundbreaking technology into products that can be delivered reliably to customers around the world.
Who are we?
Muybridge is an Oslo-based deep-tech company redefining the fundamentals of cameras. Our real-time, software-defined imaging platform moves traditional camera complexity from hardware into software, creating entirely new possibilities for how visual content can be captured and experienced.
The company started around a kitchen table, where founders Håkon Espeland and Anders Tomren began writing patents and questioning why traditional camera systems needed so much mechanical complexity. Today, Muybridge has built a highly international team of around 30 people, achieved significant technological breakthroughs and developed a platform capable of real-time volumetric imaging and software-defined camera movement.
After several years focused heavily on R&D and protecting our technology, we are entering a new chapter. We are moving into commercialisation, working with major international market leaders and taking our technology into real-world applications. This next phase means not only building exceptional technology, but building the operational foundation that allows us to deliver it at scale.
More about the position
Until now, much of Muybridge's journey has been about solving complex technological challenges. Going forward, an equally important challenge is building the supply chain and operational structure needed to manufacture and deliver our products at commercial scale.
This is where you come in.
As Supply Chain Manager, you will take broad ownership of Muybridge's supply chain and sourcing activities, from component suppliers and manufacturing partners through to production and delivery. Working closely with Product, Engineering, Commercial and Finance, you will connect product development with operational execution.
A key part of your role will be managing our supplier and manufacturing ecosystem. You will develop key supplier relationships, lead negotiations and follow up pricing, availability, lead times, quality and performance.
You will own the commercial side of our Bill of Materials, ensuring released BOMs are continuously updated with COGS, supplier information, lead times and other relevant operational data.
As products move into production, you will coordinate manufacturing with our external partners, initiate production and component sourcing, and ensure the commercial team has accurate information on capacity, pricing and delivery schedules.
You will also develop efficient logistics processes and partnerships, including international shipments, customs documentation and the practical requirements of delivering our technology globally.
Compliance and certification will form another part of the role. You will help coordinate activities related to areas such as EMC, EMI and relevant ISO standards together with Engineering and external partners.
As Muybridge grows, you will build scalable processes across sourcing, procurement, supplier management, manufacturing and logistics, while reducing supply risk and improving operational visibility.
This is not a role where you inherit a finished supply chain organisation. You will have considerable freedom and responsibility to build it, creating the operational backbone that enables Muybridge to move from deep-tech development into global commercialisation.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who understands that supply chain in a technology company is about much more than purchasing components. You need to be commercially strong, technically curious and comfortable working closely with engineers, product leaders, suppliers and manufacturing partners.
We believe you will bring:
Relevant experience within supply chain management, strategic sourcing, procurement or manufacturing operations
Experience working with outsourced manufacturing partners and complex supplier ecosystems
Strong supplier relationship management skills, including commercial negotiations and contract management
Experience managing BOMs, component costs, COGS, lead times and availability
An understanding of how engineering changes and product releases affect sourcing and manufacturing
Experience coordinating production and translating commercial forecasts into manufacturing requirements
A good understanding of logistics and international supply chains
Strong commercial and financial understanding, particularly around pricing, volume agreements and cost optimisation
The ability to create structure and scalable processes in an environment that is still evolving
Professional fluency in English, both written and spoken
Experience from electronics, imaging, broadcast technology, industrial technology or another environment involving complex physical technology products would be particularly relevant.
Just as importantly, we are looking for someone who enjoys operating in a scale-up environment. You should be comfortable moving between strategic discussions and practical execution, taking ownership and solving problems without waiting for a perfectly defined process.
Why join us?
Muybridge offers the opportunity to join a deep-tech company at a particularly exciting point in its journey. You will work alongside highly skilled colleagues in a flat, collaborative and international environment, with significant influence over how your own area is built. You will be joining as our technology moves from years of development towards commercial deployment and scale, giving you the opportunity to see the direct impact of what you build. We offer competitive compensation, flexible working arrangements and the opportunity to participate in company ownership.
